Ah, the Apple Store on Boxing Day. Relaxing.
Even after the US Federal tax credit expires, Tesla Model 3’s are much cheaper over the long run than other comparable cars. This math looks right to me: cleantechnica.com/2018/12/1…
Insightful write up on the different worlds people in the tech world and those in government inhabit. No bueno. www.theatlantic.com/ideas/arc…
McMenamins Edgefield has an awesome tribute to Mister Rogers in gingerbread house form. You’ll be missed, sir.
Now it all makes sense.
Limited edition beer tasting at McMenamins Cedar Hills tonight! Let the merriment begin.
Yesterday afternoon the family went to Cinetopia to watch Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. I can honestly say it was the greatest Spider-Man movie made so far. No joke. It captures the what’s best about the comic books almost perfectly. Don’t wait: go see it in the theater!
Robot Santa delivers toys to all the good little artificial constructs.
Highly recommend this long form ‘cast between Tim Ferriss and Dr. Peter Attia. My biggest mind blown moment, tangential to the Golden Rule: treat yourself as you would treat those you love. Wow. tim.blog/2018/12/1…
This is a fascinating (and super detailed) timeline of a carnivore’s journey to her diet. Crazy how simply broad her symptoms were. We have so much to learn about the gut biome. mikhailapeterson.com/2018/12/0…
Blast from the past. Photo of the Hood River Bridge in the Columbia Gorge circa 1989.
Zoo Lights at the Oregon Zoo! For many in Portland, an annual pilgrimage .

I found this on my walk with D’Argo this morning. New park facilities on the Fanno Creek Trail in Tigard! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
I happened to be in downtown Portland this morning and noticed that Tugboat Brewing had closed for good. As you can see here (https://pdx.eater.com/2017/7/28/16057596/tug-boat-brewing-closes-portland), it had been operating since 1989. Wow… an institution.
The kids got fancy new sunglasses, and Clare had to strike a pose for me. Throw up them horns! (And wow, just scanned the Wikipedia page on this. Apparently Marlon Brando did this gesture in 1955’s Guys and Dolls — 63 years ago.)
This was last week at the McMenamins Tripster Party IX at the Elks Lodge in Tacoma. Apparently this will be a tiki bar once it’s open. Next year? Looks like a long way to go!
